ON THE HORIZON... Celebrate Shakespeare's birthday (April 26) in the library on Friday, April 16 with cake, contests and an all day Shakespeare movie marathon. Library Brown Bag Lunch and Learn series coming in May. WHAT'S NEW & NOTEWORTHY IN THE LIBRARY The library's extensive biography collection helped 11th grade ELA students research a famous person's life and write a letter from their point of view. Mrs. Willson's 10th grade ELA students used the library's online databases to research and write about the life of Edgar Allan Poe. Ms. Reilly-Stewart used one of the library's new Flip video cameras to capture her French students language skills. Senior government students spent several days in the library's computer lab with Mr. Downs researching presidential candidates, political parties, campaigns and elections. Chemistry experiments in the library? Yep! Mr. Pierno's chemistry classes closeted themselves in the library's copier room, where there are no windows, to see the "glowing" results of their chemical combinations. Lastly, Mrs. Babbie helped many senior humanities students use the library's books and databases to find resources for their term papers, as well as helped demystify the MLA style of bibliographic citation.
