As historians, you will be given a special assignment.  Each member of your class will be contributing to the final presentation.  You will each be given a word related to the Erie Canal to research.  Your research will become part of a PowerPoint presentation and an alphabet book about the Erie Canal.  Each slide/page should contain the following:

• a detailed and colorful illustration of your word
• three interesting facts

Your class will also be creating the background music for the PowerPoint presentation by singing and recording an Erie Canal song.
