 September 2012Important Dates: September 6 School begins
I've tried to address some common questions parents have regarding second grade procedures.
Snack: A snack time will be allowed each day. Please send in a healthy snack; i.e. cereal, fruit, crackers, juice, etc.
Lunch Money: Please be sure that money is in an envelope or a baggie or a container that won't get lost in a backpack. Please make sure you label the envelope.
Birthday parties: We love to celebrate! Please send in a note or call to let me know of your plans a couple of days in advance and we will plan accordingly. Please do not send in party invitations to be distributed in the room with your child unless the entire class is invited.
Notes/ Permission slips/ book orders/money/etc.: Please always send information such as this in an envelope. Mark the contents on the outside and put my name as well as your child's name on the envelope. Remind your child to always hand the envelope directly to me or the substitute, never to just put it on my desk.
Book orders: Checks or cash is fine. If writing a check please make out your check to Scholastic Book Club.
