To the proud parents of Sauquoit art and music students:

Please allow us to introduce you to the Sauquoit Valley Fine Arts Boosters.  SV FAB is a not for profit service group that, in 2007, was organized to promote, enhance and support the visual and performing arts programs in the Sauquoit Valley School District.

You may already know about our two signature fundraisers.  We hold a Fall “fun” raiser (for adults only) each November and our April Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auction has proven to be an extremely popular event.

At concerts; flower sales, holiday receptions and ice cream socials add to our fundraising efforts.

All monies raised are given to Music, Drama and Arts programs at Sauquoit.  We work closely with the program directors to determine their immediate and long term needs.  For example, one of our first purchases was an instrument repair kit.  This made it possible for repairs to be made on site, alleviating the need to send instruments out and allowing the students’ lessons to continue uninterrupted. New instrument cases, art supplies, a jazz clinic, costume rentals, new body mics, scholarships and more have been funded by SV FAB.

To increase our community involvement, in 2009 and 2010 FAB sponsored a bus trip to NYC during the holiday season.  Open to anyone, it was a great success and a December 2011 trip is being planned.  Seating is limited, so stay tuned for further details.

Now that you know a little about us, please consider joining our organization.  Everyone is welcome, whether they have a child in an Arts program or not.  Grandparents, teachers, parents of alumni and community members interested in the Arts have become involved in SV FAB.  New faces and ideas are always welcomed.  Our meetings are held monthly at Orchard Hall on Oneida St. in Sauquoit.  Time and dates are located on the school calendar.  Hope to see you soon.
