Mission Statement

The mission of the Sauquoit Valley Middle School is to meet the intellectual, emotional, physical and social needs of all students and to help prepare them to become responsible citizens. In order to accomplish this mission the Sauquoit Valley Middle School will be committed to: -Create a safe and healthy environment for all students to grow, felt comfortable and establish positive relationships. -Provide opportunities for students to meet current educational standards through exploration, problem solving and critical thinking. -Provide instructional opportunities that address individual student needs. -Serve as a bridge between the greater dependency of the elemen tary school with the more independent environment of the high school. -Teach effective study skills that will encourage self-discipline in order that students become life-long learners. -Provide an environment that encourages collaboration among students, teachers, parents and community.
