We are now beginning the process of preparing for class placement, which takes many hours on the part of the whole instructional team. We have a placement system, which does not allow for requests for individual teachers. This system helps to ensure proper placements for all of our students, allows for equity and provides our instructional staff the opportunity to utilize their expertise to best determine your child's proper placement. Placements are done with great care.
We have implemented a range of learning environments to provide for a variety of learning styles. When making placement decisions we will continue to look at a variety of criteria:
* Academic needs
* Social needs
* Behavioral needs
* Heterogeneous groupings
* Male/female ratios
* Learning styles
* Teaching styles
These are some of the many issues we review and discuss. It takes months for us to come to closure on placements for the children. Thank you in advance for supporting our placement system.
